Copyright is enforcing a monopoly via government which is inherently illiberal.

As for the healthcare thing: healthcare is a product, which has to obey supply and demand.
1. When supply is artificially limited (via e.g. a maximum number of new doctors per year, certificates of need, and regulations on healthcare materiel) and demand is static, price goes up.
2. When demand increases due to quality of care (even Castro came to these USA to receive care) price goes up
3. When you as a producer are legally required to give your product for free if the customer can't pay (as is the case with healthcare) then the price to those that can pay is increased to compensate.

This doesn't even cover other things, like insurance companies pressuring hospitals to increase the sticker price so it looks like the insurance gives a bigger discount or the fact that Medicare/Medicaid are already massive expenditures ($1 trillion for 20% of Americans in 2023)
