its not that life comes from the rivers so much as its a general climate which allows there to be rivers in teh first place. But not only that. Look at the Nile for example. great big river but desert all around it. Why? The general climate is very very dry. Its all about the air masses and current either bringing moist air over the land for rain, or that moist air being blocked.
