I'm not even an artist, but I'd rather AI be used for boring, repetitive shit like driving and assembly line stuff, than have AI take over art and music, the point of which is for humans to express themselves, enjoy themselves, and connect with each other. The only reason anybody does any of that blue collar stuff is for the paycheck. Nobody does it as a form of expression, unless it's certain things like carpentry, glass blowing and blacksmithing where people are able to channel their creativity and vision into it. Humans have done art for thousands of years as a way to have fun and relate with one another. I'd rather see machines take over the work that I do, which nobody would go out of their way to do if they weren't being paid for it. In fact, pretty much everyone would rather sit on a couch and do nothing than to do my job. That's why nobody will cry when my job gets automated. Even I won't be that upset by it.
