Hey buddy. The guy in OP is a New York City mayor candidate. And in New York City a McDonalds pays about 1.2 to 1.5 million dollars a month in rent. In 2023 there were literally no convenience stores, pharmacies, groceries, restaurants (including fast food) on the island of Manhattan where employees were more than 10% of total expenses - most were under 2%.
Payroll isn't even in the top 5 expenses, which is rent, taxes, theft, insurance, equipment.
