I remember when I was a kid I used to hand out in a farm. One summer in june if I remember well, the farmers killed a pig.
He was hanging by the back legs, one guy stunned him with some gun and then he slit his throat and the blood gushed out into a container.
A woman picked up the container after a while and started beating the blood, I guess to make blood sausage.
I was a kid but it really struck me and I remember it vividly to this day.
This way of killing te pig is not shocking but I would have killed his brain first.
