Depends really. I work at a small chain movie theater
Over the course of this year total hours worked is around 14000, Average pay is probably around $13.50-14 so around $200k so far this year in pay. So far this year total revenue is around 1.2mil in Concessions + something like 40% of the revenue of 150k tickets (around 600k)
So revenue of 1.8mil, (this isn't counting groups that rent out theaters which is going to add.... A lot to that.... since 100% of that money stays with the company) the owner owns the building outright so just needs to pay property taxes/power/water/restocking/etc. Total restock cost is probably..... 15k per week? So lets say 375k ytd,so 575k + let's say 400k in shit i as a manager don't know about (fuck if i know how much our insurance costs), so 1.8mil revenue against around 1mil in expenses through the first 6 months of this year.
So off our one single location he's made a bit under 1mil in profit.
If he doubles all pay that'd put floor staff starting pay at $23 and Managers at $33 and he'd still be making 600k per year.
