well if you put price caps on things then you get a shortage. We don't do that because USA isn't a socialist country with a planned economy so prices will rise. People who earn near the minimum wage end up exactly where they were pre wage increase while people who earn more end up paying more or their wages catch up slower. In the end nobody wins then they'll do it again because they're too fucking stupid.
