Apparently it can get even worse. The Canadian and Dutch housing markets are depressing and hilarious. The dutch housing crisis is often debated here but the context is how do we make sure we don't end up like the dutch. Housing prices are up 97% since 2015 there, it doubled in 10 years. But that is not adjusted for square meters, when factoring in homes got smaller in the last 10 years housing prices there tripled. Millenials in the netherlands who can't buy a home will be the lucky ones, because the ones who can buy will suffer life ruining losses in an inevitable correction. Canadians too. Do not buy at these prices, you're ruining your life so a boomer can retire in monaco.
