Inflation does one thing and one thing only. Make the rich even richer and the rest of us poorer. Advocating for it is only "reasonable" for somebody, who produces wealth via the labour of others. Inflation is the reason you and your wife both have to work. Its the reason you will never own property. Its the reason your children will be poorer than you. Decoupling the USD from the Goldstandard was the single biggest act of betrayal to the american people.
It doomed them to a pertual cycle of generational wealth getting devoured by the parasitic "upper-class". Instead for the benefit of your children.
