I once (as a layman) wanted to make some parts with different +- tolerances (od: 20mm +0/-0.05; id: 20 mm +0.05/-0) but none of the software I tried had that option (yeah, i guess i could've just adjusted to make them equal); also every sw was absolutely counter intuitive to me: drawing parts just to subtracte them, no common elements library (e g.: insert m2x5 hole here), no mixed metric/imperial, etc.
Btw, read that top cad sw=russian programmers, basically; don't know if still true.
