Beyond that, the rest of the inventions following this were all geared toward women;
An electric dishwasher, an electric sewing machine, an electric stove, electric washing machine and dryer, electric vacuum cleaner
all things designed to make life easier for the woman.
And how many of these electric inventions were used in the workplace, where men spent most of their time? The lightbulb is pretty much the only thing that was used by workplaces until labor regulations were put into place. Now men can sometimes have air conditioning or an electric fan when they are working. None of it made their jobs any easier to do.
