Or in a slavic store, yeah, where it will be called Smetana. Taste wise it's one of the best milk products, just below cream.
It's a similar to Creme Fraiche, except for some reason it tastes at least 3 times better. Quite versatile too, just put some into a sauce or whatever.
Yet apparently it's a highly regional Germano-Slavic product.
