Personally I do not see any particular advantages to Celsius, specifically because it is not linear in terms of energy. It works great from ~4°C to 99°C, but not outside of this, so you might as well use Kelvins, the actual standard scientific unit. More simplistically it's okay from 0-100°C, but that's how a yokel would use it.
