I'm not short but I dont think girls care about it that much. I think rightwing political forces on the internet are trying to convince the world girls care about it in order to increase feelings of alienation among young men. More feelings of alienation among young men = more lifelong rightwing voters. More animosity between genders = more focusing on identity politics and less focusing on leftwing class politics.
