Assuming collision is unavoidable, it will break up during entry, produce a huge airburst that might burst some eardrums and windows, and the meteorites upon the ocean would be like throwing a stone into a pond, barely any effect ashore. If you want an apocalyptic asteroid, it needs to exceed 1,000 m, and all of them are being tracked with not a single one hazardous for Earth.
