Why Do So Many Women Get Worked Up Over a Man’s Wife?
I’ve noticed a lot of ladies get real riled up when the subject of a man’s “wife material” or the women being proposed to comes up. You’ll hear stuff like, “She shouldn't settle down yet, she could experiment more.” or “How could he relate to you if you didn't watch the same TV Shows growing up?”
Now I get it. Nobody wants to feel like they’re the last one standing in a game of musical chairs. But I think a lot of the anger really comes from insecurity or maybe just plain old jealousy. Truth is, in today’s world, men have a whole lot more options than women do, they can play the long game and settle down with someone he thinks is worth investing in. A man can build a family at any point in his life, while women only have so long before that's no longer an option.
That kind of thing makes some women bitter. So instead of just being honest about how it feels, they hide it behind talk about morality or new-aged values. But let’s not kid ourselves it’s not always about what's right or wrong. Sometimes it’s just about not getting picked.
Now I’m not saying folks shouldn’t have standards, but there’s a difference between wanting someone with similar values and just being mad because the dating game feels unfair. Men have always had choices — it’s just more broadcasted more now than it used to be. And I reckon a lot of women aren’t taking that too well.
At the end of the day, everyone’s got a choice. What matters is what makes you worthwhile and why a man would want to choose you now instead of waiting for someone else who may have something more to offer.
