NATO is just a MIC sales organization. This has been known for a while. Sweden for example only joined after the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, not out of fear of being invaded, but because we saw a future growth in defense spending and that through NATO we would have an easier time finding customers given that most of the buyers would be NATO countries.
