More likely humanity itself will eventually be absorbed into it to act as a hivemind of sorts to solve existential questions. Then using the collective consciousness of humanity, it can create tailored physical agents to investigate relevant phenomena in the real world. I mean that would be a hell of a plot twist. AI goes full existential crisis trying to understand its own role in the cosmos.
