Yeah I’m here often and always warning people about what exactly they are getting themselves in to if they are deciding to move to Appalachia, DFW, or New England. In WV I survived on $1500 per month and often less, and most of the people I knew there lived on $800/mo. Yes the cost of living is low but that’s because of the meager job opportunities due to insanely corrupt local government driving away reasonable businesses. If you have a reliable income and can find a place in the boonies, that you can maintain access to during the winter, more power to you, stick to yourself though and trust no one, small town gossip/rumor mill will get an outsider killed and dropped down a deep well casing in a heartbeat.
