Even the voulounteer to Auschwitz, Pilecki in his memorandum didn't write about mass exterminations. Only about poor conditions and sadism towards prisoners(beating up, shooting at them for fun, slashing them with knife, refusing food etc.) that ended up in deaths of some of them, but nothing about gassing millions of people to death.
