You're a dumb ass. Remember the Alamo where Anglos and Tejanos took up arms against the despot Santa Anna for Texas independence. They then joined the usa so USA backed them up. The West was then given to the USA, fair and square, in the treaty. It's not like Mexico couldn't govern the West anyway just as Spain couldn't because of low population. That's why Texas wanted their independence in the first place. By 1852 there were only about 130K foreigners + American Indians in California compared to a 170K growing white population.
