I visited a few times in the mid 90’s. Stayed at the Union Jack.
There was a huge gay disco that was very popular. I don’t remember the name. Seemed like gay bars everywhere. We tried to find a strip club with girls but didn’t have much luck. Spent most of the time drinking down by the river just bumming around. Tried a few small run down pubs. Seemed like a lot of scammers and gypsies running around. Spent a few day driving around the Avebury region and visiting the various sites, which was enjoyable.
