It’s true that the world will perceive you as you present yourself to it. I’m talking about things like the aspects of stuffing yourself into the box that society has defined for worker drones, not the attributes one can do nothing about.
Unless you’re physically disabled in a profoundly outwardly visible way in which case I’m sorry friend, the world is full of cruelly shallow people in that regard. I’m not really religious but this paraphrasing of the Bible helps me at times:
Heaven is not a place where man can say ‘here it is’ or “there it is”. Heaven is a place on earth(all around you) yet men cannot see it.
Some might interpret that to mean that heaven is some sort of shadow realm that exists just beyond the veil here on earth, but I take it to mean that heaven is in all of gods handiwork and in nature itself- that if man were to just be happy with himself and what he has, be kind in his heart, and uplift his brother, he would find that he is living in heaven already.
