All that would do is have companies make weird loophole-y "multiplayer" games. Just singleplayer games with a leaderboard or ghosts or some shit.
Imagine if you could only play trackmania on mutliplayer servers. Its almost the exact same gameplay, but you can see other people's ghosts also trying the same track you're on.
