You mean, it was invented by Raul Hilberg.
Hilberg is known for cherrypicking discredited sources to build a larger narrative.

Case in point, there was a holocaust "survivor" who claimed that he worked in the gas chambers. He suddenly emerged in the 90's right after the lawsuit with David Irving, to shore up some narratives.

Everyone knows that the walls of the chamber were not stained blue, which is a massive problem in the story. So this guy (whose name I forget) said that after every gassing they would rush in and furiously scrub the walls clean. Many people still use those quotes today to assert the walls were scrubbed clean.
But you would have to ignore all the OTHER ridiculous shit this guy said. He said the bodies were "burning hot" and would "flash into ashes" the moment they were placed in an oven, thus solving the "cremation time problem". He says he saw the pellets on the floor, but got the color wrong. Also if he did see them, he would be 100% dead. He got the layout of the chambers wrong....basically everything he said is wrong. But people still quote him as an authoritative source with regard to scrubbing the chamber walls.

Thats the kind of shit Hilberg does CONSTANTLY. He goes through otherwise discredited accounts and picks here and there a little snippet that he likes, and uses it to build a larger narratives. The documentary "One Third of the Holocaust" which you can find on Bitchute, tears through many of his sources
