The criollo elites sold Mexico to anglo and french interests, same thing that happened throughout much of hispanic america. It didn't work particularly well for you.
I hope to see a time when Hispanic people ditch their money hungry elites and unite. Both here in Spain as well as in America, the average commoner has been eating shit for centuries while the elites enriched themselves and sold their countries to foreign interests.
