The old ways are lost, not because we can't reconstruct them (we can, at least some) but because the larger social-ritual-meaning complex is gone. The symbols, the relationship to harvest, constellations, nature, sun and weather - it's all gone for us.
We'd be doing empty, performative worship without any meaning.
