You might be surprised to hear there’s a good paying market and demand for high-quality repair of audio equipment and RF devices, amplifiers and such. The reason I’m thinking extended cargo van instead of step van is that they’re much cheaper to maintain all around, more comfortable to actually use for work, less noisy, more maneuverable in cities, and have changed design so little over the years that it’s easy to get an old van that still looks modern enough to be owned by a trustworthy company. I too use all my own tools due to preferences over quality.
