Autists do not have empathy, which is an instinct, not a conscious choice, and the only thing that can inform functional morality. They do not feel empathy so they fall back on "logic", and usually they also can't feel spirituality so their logic amounts to "ALL LIFE IS LIFE, ALL KILLING IS WRONG OR ALL KILLING IS NOT". To a souled person this is a false dichotomy because a dog is not a cat and a cat is not a cow and a human is not an animal - you can FEEL that there is a difference between each (empathy) automatically.
