kek where im moving to in australia, before an election they made the cost of train/bus rides like 50 cents (anywhere), something absurdly low for EVERYONE, in an attempt to stay winning in the election (it failed), but it too suicidal unpopular to REMOVE this change, free transport, so now its no longer temporary, its permanent.
and now they are trying to remove the 50 cent fee because theyve discovered its actually costing them even MORE money to collect the 50 cents per rider then it is to just fuckin let them get on. it slows them down enough that its literally not worth taking the 50 cents lol.
