Deterrence and military sales/funding. We sell the F-35s to our allies who already have large numbers of F-16s and F-15s so they are still capable in the air without sending the F-35s over hostile territory.
The US was using F-35s over the Red Sea to attack the Houthis, but never over Yemen ground, and even over the Red Sea close to Yemen, the Houthis were locking onto and firing Stinger type shoulder launched anti-air missiles at the F-35.
The US/Trump agreed to a cease-fire with the Houthis within like 12 hours of that, and sailed the carrier group the fuck out of the Red Sea immediately.
Just like last year when Israel tried approaching Iranian territory but Iranian anti-air radars locked onto them over Iraqi skies. The kikes got so spooked they just fired their missiles from Iraq and turned around immediately. That was right before True Promise 2.
Most of the Israeli missile attacks during this 12 day war with Iran were fired from Iraqi skies, or else were fired from unmanned drones over Iran, or from small drones launched inside Iran, or maaaybe from F-16s/F-15s over Iranian territory.
