Well, it sorta depends on how you shape your air defense strategy. Much of what you say is true, but it flows from an assumption that the Iranian intend to use their Air Force in the same way the Pakistanis do. I would say that if the the Iranians circumscribe their strategy within the boundaries of the capabilities, their Air Force could be a very big asset.
The main area of concern for them would obviously be the lack of competent pilots. Whatever the csse, All of these moves on both sides suggest that the detente of late is in all ways temporary. Both sides are just refortifying their arsenals and planning their next moves. I think the main thing for Iran right now is going to be deporting or executing all the poo Israeli agents. That was a wake up call to the world that, yes, the poolie invasion of every crevice in the world is a kosher operation.
