I know, it's a sign of narcissism and they're just making content for attention. Some are good at balancing it out like Dave Paulidas. He doesn't put his face as the title screen, he just talks in the same spot and then presents info.
That's acceptable and he's 5 feet away from the camera. The ones who are up in the camera are up in your face and it's annoying.
