A country that doesn't have the volunteers to defend it doesn't deserve to exist. It's like arguing you be forced, under pain of death, to buy some brand of car (even a brand that makes good cars) because the company will go bankrupt otherwise. Of course, the company executives don't have to buy, just like the politicians never have to fight.
Israel is another great example. Yair Netanyahu, Bibi's son, has been chilling in Florida since Oct 7.
