I think it's just branding and comes off more like a formality some corporate boss would end their emails with when telling employees to do something. You don't really have a choice, you're going to do it but he is lessening the sting (he isn't) by saying thank you. Plus it needles the terminally online retards who've been having a melt since 2016 so he probably gets a giggle knowing such a corpo safe speak phrase gets them riled up.
