I had a normal hairline my entire life, then in my late 30s I decided, fuck it, I'm going to grow it out long. Then I started to pull it back into a pony tail when it was long enough. Then it began shedding a lot and my hairline receded hard. But it happened so slowly, I didn't really notice until I ran into an old friend who hadn't seen me in a few years. He was like "Wow! You really lost a lot of hair!" FML
