Let's pretend it's aliens for a second.
Let's also pretend it's not some faster than light travel where we'd be instantly fucked, let's say it's a generational ship with cryopods or whatever, they're ahead of us technologically but not by -that- much.
With the way the world is going, do you think humanity could get its shit together to at least put up enough of a fight to bring them to the negotiation table, or do you think we'd be assigning Indians to logistics and Africans as diplomats?
