Doesn't school already implicitly "teach about gender identity"? It seems that everyone in both sides wants gender taught in schools -- evangelicals want school to teach their daughters to be prissy, repressed little ultrafemme future coal-burners, whereas lefties want a more heterodox view where it's OK to be what you want to be.
I don't have a horse in the race, personally. Wife and I don't want kids.
