Oh but it can. Hegseth can absolutely go fake tough guy like he's doing, deplete the stock piles some more on some narcos, then declare victory when they give up on this failed strategy, just like with the Houthis. And there may be at least a dozen more like that, like the death throes, and you have to sit through all of it, until well something like in July last year happens and they don't miss this time. I was thinking about that the other day, that would've left Trump basically a marter. Similar to JFK, all the affairs and stuff like that (ahem Epstein) would be swept under the rug and he'd be treated like a fucking saint. And people could fight for the idea of a Trump and not Trump the boomer, the serial adulterer, draft dodger, etc.
