Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, and even Traditional Catholics still have obligatory prayers.
In fact Islam actually borrows a lot of its ritual from Eastern Orthodoxy - the getting on your knees to worship God while facing East thing is from Eastern Orthodox Lenten services.
