Personally, I'm irreligious. I think (not believe) that all religions are retarded, and that anyone that genuinely believes any particular religion literally is also, quite retarded. However, if you are one of those people I genuinely and wholeheartedly appreciate that you believe what you believe, and highly encourage you to continue believing it. I am not an atheist. Their stance is just as retarded, if not as convoluted. I'm also not agnostic. Although their beliefs are the only ones I can actually respect.

Why is the subject religion and politics?
Well because there is very little distinction between the two when you think about it. Both rely heavily on belief of it's existence, and trust in those at the top of their orders that they know what is best and are doing whatever they are doing in your interest and for your good.
