Maybe not in America, where the political divide is also infecting religious sermons. People are choosing a different church, if the church goes against their political beliefs.

They don't. You're able to read what the religious scholars and academics say about any religion. You're able to read any philosophical position on any political belief.

You absolutely do not. If you'd actually pay attention to what the beliefs of the religious group or political group are supposed to be, then you can evaluate their effectiveness at achieving those ends.

They're not, and never were going to. But you're able to assess that yourself, and apply organized pressure onto the religious leader or political leader, to do what they're supposed to.

People just choose not to do any of that, because it requires time, effort, and actually paying attention.
