No just made the thread for some stimulating conversation and to add something to the board besides that ukie getting murdered or that lady stealing the baseball.
I like the pomp and circumstance of Catholic services. I've attended a few, but as far as Christian religions go...Its kinda the scientology of Christianity imo. Heavily gate kept and hypocritical not very Christian as Christianity should be.
Learning about the aspects of the religion itself I find the concept a good one, as far as the help the needy dont be materialistic generally be a good person. I think it's great, leading me back to my desire of keeping those involved in it, in it. It is necessary as the vast majority of humanity would go off the rails if not for some sort of mental babysitter. I actually did a study over about a decade to explore this. My original intent was to prove we didn't need religion, my findings proved otherwise.
Original Christianity and all all iterations of Buddhism have many similarities and do not conflict with each other at all save for the whole gotta believe the jesus being God in the flesh as well as his son etc. Otherwise the beliefs are quite compatible, as well as Islam and Christianity, probably more so than Christianity and Buddhism as islam at least believes jesus was actually a person, just a prophet though, not a deity. Islam is closer to original Christianity than any current iteration too. Both are still far from the mark as it would require one to forgo all earthly possessions and do nothing but help others and tell others of God, but only if they were receptive. Mormons have that aspect down. Any mormon will gladly help you anyway they can, and will not talk about their religion if you don't wish it. They prefer to show.. not tell.
And while I think all those that genuinely believe in some supernatural faith are retarded, I absolutely believe there are aspects of all religion that are...
