Once you're dead it won't matter whether you lived for one day or a billion years. Nothing at all matters with death looming around the corner. Because there's nothing after death, it's retroactive. Nothing ever existed, and you don't have any concept of anything. Being alive for actual eternity, whether that's possible in any capacity, would be the only think that would make life worth anything at all.
