They say he de assembled the rifle on the roof after firing that one round and then put it back together to hide it in the bush, even though he left his screwdriver on the roof and even though dethatching the barrel from the stock disassembles the internal magazine as well meaning the unspent bullets would have fallen out. He would have also had to disassemble the rifle without removing the bolt so as not to eject the spent cartridge, unless he reinserted it in the barrel after he reloaded the magazine while he was running for his life with a towel.
