Unless you have some local art community in your county, “succeeding as an artist” in practice means drawing pornography exclusively online. There’s no amount of interpersonal discipline your sister could develop that would create an industry and demand for visual art. If she really wanted to kill her creativity she could become a graphic designer for corporate brands if this was the 2010’s and not the 2020’s. Any sort of indie vanity project, like animation or a visual novel, would need to be funded from her own startup capital to even begin, not to mention how such projects are inherently team-based meaning she’d need to know people with the exact same interest and level of investment who won’t flake out. Your sister dropped motivation because what motivation is there to have in a dead industry?
