the base models of the Gripen and most Russian planes are decades old, but there are new versions, like the Gripen E or Su-35S
depending on what kind of support they have (AEW&C aircraft for example) and what kind of missiles they carry (long range beyond visual range) they can both destroy each other
idk how the newest Gripens would measure up to the Su-57, I've read conflicting things about its stealth features
