Yemen has a international airport. Iran was right next door. You're not gonna stop all these small fishing boats doing the a quick sail over to smuggle either. It was also the Saudis that were fighting this war so it never stood a chance. Also its all mountains, which Venezuela does not have like I said, its a coastal country. Yemen was built in the mountains as a fortress. Venezuela doesnt have any depth.
