I graduated in 2015 too, though it was a meme master's degree. 1991.
If I were teaching, I'd absolutely not assign written anything. Only live Q&A in front of the class, working demonstrations, working projects, debates, and live exams. I may be jaded, but I think real world experience beats college for the most part nowadays. Indeed, the blame lies with the boomer profs failing to adapt.
