It has to do with how the human(oid) brain works, a liberal has that part of the brain in charge of threat awareness shut off to the point it will accept literal rapist syrians in their home because "it's the right way to do", conservatives on the other hand have it on overdrive to the point if their leader figures tell them russians are trad and based they will believe it because that's current dogma to fight back the liberal establishment.
